About Togal
Built for the new rental landscape
Togal gives landlords, tenants, and letting agents one shared record of every conversation, document, and decision — timestamped, immutable, and ready for any dispute.
What we do
Evidence-grade communication for UK rentals
Togal replaces scattered WhatsApp messages, emails, and phone calls with a single platform where every interaction is logged, timestamped, and sealed with a SHA-256 hash. When disputes arise — whether at a deposit adjudication, a First-tier Tribunal, or simply a disagreement over who said what — both sides have access to the same evidence trail.
Beyond messaging, Togal tracks document compliance (gas certificates, EICRs, deposit protection), manages maintenance issues with Awaab's Law deadlines, records calls with automatic transcription and AI summaries, and handles rent tracking with automated reminders.
Everything is designed around the Renters' Rights Act 2025, which abolishes Section 21 “no-fault” evictions and places new obligations on landlords to document communications and respond within defined timescales.
Who it's for
One platform, three perspectives
Independent landlords
Stay compliant without adding complexity. Timestamped communications, document storage, issue tracking, and rent management — everything a self-managing landlord needs in one place.
Portfolio landlords
One dashboard for compliance across every property. Track certificates, monitor response times, manage arrears, and build Section 8 cases — all from a single portfolio view.
Letting agents
Prove your responsiveness to landlord clients with a complete logged record. Team features, agent assignment, and portfolio-wide compliance tracking across all managed properties.
Why we exist
The UK rental market has a communication problem
54–77% of tenants and landlords cite poor communication as their main frustration with renting. Conversations happen across WhatsApp, email, phone calls, and in-person — none of it linked, none of it timestamped, none of it admissible as reliable evidence.
The Renters' Rights Act 2025, coming into force in May 2026, will require landlords to document their communications and respond to issues within legally defined timescales. Non-compliance carries penalties of up to £7,000 per breach, and tenants will be able to claim up to 24 months' rent through Rent Repayment Orders.
Existing property management tools are landlord-centric and accounting-focused. We built Togal from the ground up as a communication-first platform — affordable, balanced for both sides, and designed specifically for the new regulatory environment.
